One evening in the Angel pub in Durham, a friend alerted me to a piece of graffiti in the gents’ toilet: “I hate being bi-polar; it’s awesome.” I posted a photo of it to my Facebook page and promised to get it tattooed if I reached a certain number of likes. Needless to say it took a matter of hours. Someone offered to donate to a charity of my choice if I did it, so I decided to raise as much as I could. When I get to £500, I’m booking it in! 

I have experienced the prejudice and stigma that mental health conditions can bring, so I want to raise awareness and help Mind to continue with the great support they provide.
