Story
In November 2021 I lost my lovely Mum to bowel cancer.
Linda wanted to be with her family and East Cheshire Hospice helped us with hospice at home towards the end. During COVID it felt harder to get help and out of all the services we approached East Cheshire Hospice stood out on top. My family and I will forever be indebted to them for their dignified care and even their emotional support. This is my small way of saying thank you to these amazing women and to help other people to benefit from their service.
I will be walking all 97 miles of the Cheshire Ring Canal from 25th to 30th July. I've bought some historical guides (see gallery photo) and following completion of the walk I will publish a website about the Cheshire Ring, including any interesting things I find along the way. This is a gesture of thanks to my supporters and it'll hopefully be interesting to anyone keen on canals and waterways (you all know who you are :D).
Please note - Times are hard and I would genuinely find a simple message of support as equally kind as a donation. I'm not used to hiking so I'll need all the goodwill and blister plasters I can get. You can drop me a message on 07922 400843 or p.e.booth@gmail.com if JustGiving doesn't allow messaging without a donation.
Thanks and wish me luck. x
