Cheryle's Marathon Challenge, 9 April 2020
During the COVID-19 outbreak, St John is actively supporting ambulance services, hospitals and communities to protect life and health through this worrying and uncertain period.

Story

Help us ease the strain during the COVID-19 outbreak. Our dedicated St John Ambulance volunteers are standing shoulder to shoulder with the NHS to relieve pressure by boosting the health response in communities across the country.

I am the Chair for the Derbyshire County Priory Group and currently in isolation like so many of you.  I wanted to support our amazing volunteers so I have decided to take on a virtual challenge by running a marathon around my garden.  I last ran the London Marathon for St John back in 2015.

Right now, I am so proud to work with such amazing St John people, from the volunteers on the front line, the Logistics team who are ensuring medial equipment is where it is needed, to the HR, Finance & IT teams keeping the training and resources available for our new volunteers.

Any contribution you can give will not only encourage me on but also help an amazing charity whose volunteers are relieving pressure on our NHS, we need your support more now than ever, thank you!!
