Story
In January 2018, a very dear colleague at Brocklehurst Architects, suffered a spinal stroke which has left him wheelchair dependant.
He has been in Stoke Mandeville hospital since he was first taken ill and his care and treatment there has been outstanding.
Peter has tackled all the obstacles that have been put in front of him, with dignity, resilience and courage.
On one of our visits, Peter showed us 'Horatio's Garden' - a wonderful project currently being built, in the grounds of the hospital. In it's half completed state, we could see that it would become a beautiful, peaceful and positive place for those with spinal injuries to enjoy and somewhere for them to reflect.
We decided that our Company's summer outing this year could not be better spent than tackling an 18 mile sponsored walk along part of the Ridgeway, close to Peter's home. There will be at least 10 staff taking part, together with other family and friends.
We very much hope to raise enough money to make a difference and to help with the completion of this wonderful project.
