Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In the week before Remembrance, I’ll be undertaking a “75” Challenge to support our Blind Veterans.
This will involve running a total of 75km over 5 days. As a Blind Veteran myself, I’ll be helped by personnel from RAF Shawbury who be serving as my running guides. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to help our most vulnerable Blind Veterans, who have not only had to face the isolation from CV19 lockdowns, but also live with the inherent isolation of sight loss. Remembrance events are a central part of their year, and for many this is the first time they will be apart from their fellow Veterans.
Each £5 we raise will not only help us fund the continued welfare of these Veterans, but will also allow us to send 1 “Victory over Blindness” pin badge and accessible message of gratitude to a Blind Veteran.
We want to try and raise as many £5s as possible to help us support as many Blind Veterans as we can this Remembrance.
