Story
I will be running 2 half marathons in as many days commencing 11th of February. The past 6 months for me have been an incredibly difficult personal journey, so this event marks what I consider a point of full physical recovery from being stabbed last year.
I lost my best friend George Low the night of 14th August 2016, myself and George were attacked in the street. I was stabbed four times but made a full recovery, George suffered a more fatal stab wound and passed away that same night. I am not normally one to post online about that incident, choosing to keep my personal life exactly that however, in the interest of raising money for Victim Support I’m making an exception.
Those closest to George are still struggling to come to terms with what has happened it is a lot to process, Victim Support is a charity that reaches out to those who need them most in these types of circumstances it is supported primarily by volunteers who have been through similar situations and can empathize. Whether or not you choose to use their support it is a comfort knowing it is there if you need it.

Running is something I have always enjoyed doing I have come to learn however that not only is a great way to build and recover physical strength and endurance but also mental. Victim Support assist in people’s recovery following traumatic events and has inspired our event.
