Story

Bella's last push!

Its been a brilliant year for Super Bella - she's raised over £2k this year for Children's Hospice South West! But now we're coming up to the year since the fun run that started it all off.

In December 2020, Bella was dressed as a Christmas tree, slogging through some of the worst rain in ages, doing the virtual Santa Run. Despite atrocious conditions she absolutely smashed it, and this success is what got her thinking about her challenge.

Now on the 5th of December she (and her pit crew) will be running in the real-life in-person Santas on the Run at Ashton Court.

Please please donate what you can to help Bella top off her year of fundraising with a bang! X

Bella smashed her walk! But she's still fundraising!

What a champ! Despite an isolation-related hiatus, Isabella successfully completed her 30 miles (and then did a couple more).  It was so lovely to be out in the open, stomping along enjoying this amazing route.

But she's not finished yet! She's still got a race to run in December and some other fundraising ideas to help her close off her year in style.

So please dig deep and help her make as much money for CHSW as she can

Bella's 30 miles for 30 years is on!

Bella's big challenge for this year is to walk 30 miles to celebrate the 30 years of Children's Hospice South West.

She'll be walking along the Monarch's Way, a wonderful route based on the journey taken by King Charles II during his escape after defeat by Cromwell in the final battle of the Civil Wars at Worcester in 1651.

As 30 miles is big for an 8 year old, we're going to do it over 3 weekends, and our first leg of the journey is Wick to Keynsham on Saturday 3rd July.

She's so excited to be doing this, so please dig deep and donate what you can to help her reach her goal for this awesome charity.

May update

We've settled on our route and dates for the mega-hike  - each weekend in July Bella will be ticking off the miles, starting in Keynsham, through Bristol,  Leigh Woods, Long Ashton and then up over the hills to Dundry and then on down south. We'll be doing a few practice walks to get us up to gear, and Calli dog is raring to go!

We're also planning a raveathon, with some amazing tunes supplied by the fantastic DJ Nick Teriffic from Junior Jungle. More on that soon, but if you'd like to donate now...you know what to do! X

April update

The month of planning for the mega hike and Bella's Charity Bake Off. Some of B's friends are joining her on raising dosh by baking some lovely cakes and selling them (in a safe distanced way) to friends and neighbours. As her mother, I have obviously volunteered to be a taste tester, and can't wait to MONCH on some yummy cakes. 🎂🍥🍰🥮

March update

Bella's next challenge is a good'un! She wants to do a Sponsored Silence. So on Saturday 27 March, she is going to be completely silent for 2 hours. If you know Bella, that is a ridiculously great feat! I'm going to support 2 hours of shush 🤫 and  maybe you would like to as well. X

January update

Bella was off to a smashing start, by being a super helpful kid and taking very good care of the dog for a whole month! 🐕

Now we're starting to make our plans for our biggie fundraiser- 30 miles for 30 years

Bella, mummy and Calli dog are going to walk 30 miles (not in one go) of the Monarch's Way, a gorgeous route that follows the route king Charles 2 went escaping after his defeat at the battle of Worcester.  More news on that soon.

Why are we doing this?

Bella and I were chatting recently about how fun it was doing the fun run for Childrens Hospice South West. Thanks to the generosity of lovely people she knows, she raised a nice amount of dosh for her fave charity.

But when she heard that this year is CHSW's 30th anniversary, she wanted to do something BIG.

So! She decided she wanted to take a year and try and raise £9,000, through a bunch of activities, challenges and chores.

Its a big number, but we're going to support her in her endeavour and see how close she can get to her goal.

We hope that you lovely lot will support her too  x
