Story
I have been recently diagnosed with CKD (FSGS) which progressed rapidly, leading to emergency dialysis. This was such a shock mentally and physically. We were never expecting anything like this. It took its toll on me and my family. What got me through it was not only the loving support from my Husband, 10 year old Daughter and 18 year old Son but the exceedingly good staff on the Shrewsbury Renal Unit. Without their hard work and care, I may not be here to see my family grow up. For this reason, I will attempt the 42mile Rotary Across Wales Walk on the 23/06/18.
Sponsor form is on the unit but this has been set up for those who can not get there.
Last year I was to Ill to attempt this many miles, so I only did the last 8 with my daughter. My Husband and Son managed the whole 42!
I’m so greatful for my family’s support in this challenge... Photos will follow.

Most of the hospital wards, departments and community healthcare services have dedicated funds within the charity, which means you can support the specific areas of our hospitals that are closest to your heart. The Charity enables the Trust to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment in these areas, as well as enhancing and improving patient experience and comfort. In addition, the funds raised provide additional training for staff and fund medical research programmes.
