Story
PCOS is a condition that not enough people talk about because not enough people know about it. It is a condition that affects one in 10 women in the UK.
I was diagnosed at the age of 19 with PCOS. I have lived with the condition for the last 30 years. During that time very little has happened in the way of research or development of treatment. This is because there is very little funding for research and understanding. This has to change. This can change. However fundraising is needed for the research funding.
That is why I am growing a beard for PCOS awareness month September 2022. As of 3rd August 2022 I have not shaved. I will not be shaving until 25th September 2022, when I plan on shaveing the beard off on in public and on TikTok.
