A fathers farewell Posted 5th December 2018
“Today my world has changed forever.
Today the world lost an angel. You won’t find a kinder, funnier, braver and more loved young lady if you look for eternity. Her beautiful smile, cheeky eyes and energy could fill a room with joy and her hug could mend a million heartbreaks.
Her life, too short, ended suddenly and tragically but yet touched so many, meaningfully and positively.
Goodnight my angel now it’s time to sleep.
You will always be my world, my best friend, my rock and my beautiful baby. I love you Amber with all my heart and soul and your memory will never die in the hearts of those who you loved.
Never Goodbye my Bert you’ll always be with me.

Three days earlier Amber was found unconscious in the bath and after her mothers desperate attempts to revive her was rushed into intensive care at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
After three gruelling days sat by her bedside. We gathered loved ones around her bedside and played her favourite music as the staff removed all of the machinery to let her breath her last breath with dignity. We held her hand and promised that we would never say goodbye.
Still no answers as to why she became unconscious we await an inquest with the expectation that we may never understand why she was taken from us exactly 2 months after her 18th Birthday and accepting that it will make little difference to us even if we did.
As a family we are just beginning our journey of living without her, but knowing that support is around and that we, her family and friends, can somehow make a difference to others in her name brings us comfort.
Planned fundraising events, give us reason to come together where otherwise we could lose touch as we all try to grow a new life around our grief.
Offers of support made in good will by those touched by our loss, can now have meaning and purpose beyond caring words.
We cannot ever bring my Angel back, but by supporting 2wish upon a star, we can help her to live on and touch many more lives in the way she touched ours.
