Story

As many of you are aware I am a postman so my day to day life is mostly spent walking ,This is my first ever charity walk and most days I average 8 miles , So when I decided I wanted to do a fundraise walk I knew it had to be something that would challenge me and also that would make you dig deep into your pockets,. While we’re talking money I just would like to say I know times are tough right now so this walk isn’t until September 2-3 rd so you have plenty of time to donate if things might get easier for you over the coming months .
It’s not going to be easy by any means and I will be doing lots of training to build up my stamina and will be going on several smaller walks 3/4 times a week and every month I plan to do a allday walk but every step I take I will be doing in memory of my brother ‘John ‘ who sadly passed away last October at St Wilfred’s .

I am fundraising for St Wilfred’s Eastbourne because from the moment I walked through the doors and smelt the wonderful flowers , The kindness of everyone in that building , The way they looked after my brother with so much dignity it was very special , They enabled the family to spend time with John in such sad times , .We were welcomed anytime day or night , So I want to raise as much as I can for anyone that has to go through these awful circumstances themselves or with a family member because they truly are the hero’s !

I am doing the Eastbourne to Arundel continuous walk which is 62 miles /100km

So from the bottom of my heart thank you for reading and an even bigger thank you for donating to this amazing charity !

You will be forever missed John but we will always keep your memory alive
