Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of our mum Barbara Barton who died peacefully on 16th August 2022, aged 91.

Barbara was a wonderful lady and (among many things) an advocate for mental health, supporting many groups during her retirement from teaching, for which she was awarded an MBE, which meant she went to see the queen.  Any excuse for wearing a hat!.

Her funeral will be on 21st September and rather than buying flowers we are asking people to instead make donations to Mind who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
