Story
We’d usually run a mile. Not 26.2 of them! But that’s what we’ll be doing on Sunday 3rd October, as we take part in the 2021 London Marathon alongside 50,000 other virtual runners. What possessed us to sign up? We’d love to say it was to make Mo Farah look like a dawdler. Or because we enjoy playing pothole roulette every time we head out for a run. But the simple truth is we signed up to help support a local charity that has personally supported us in these challenging times.
Like for so many charities, the pandemic has not been kind and stopped many fundraising activities, so we wanted to do our little bit by raising some money for this brilliant cause.
Are we excited about smelling of Deep Heat until Christmas? No. Do our knees scream at us every time we lace up our trainers? Yes, yes, they do. But we figure it’s a small price to pay if it helps the Centre continue doing their amazing work.
And now for the uncomfortable bit. When we ask if you could make all the blisters and jogger’s nipple worthwhile by sponsoring us. We understand times are tough, but even the smallest donation will help the Centre continue going the extra mile for those living with cancer. Thank you.
