Story
As a 15 year old Army Cadet I would like to pursue a career in the military when I am older. And I think Help for Heroes do fantastic work supporting people in the forces when they need help the most. It may be that in years to come I may need the help, So I want to try and do a little something to make sure they can carry on doing the good work that they do.
So I will be walking from my local Rugby Club, Old Laurentians RFC in Rugby, Warwickshire to Llanilleth RFC in South wales. It is also where my grandparents live. I have not seen them for over a year due to lockdown. So it will be great to raise money for Help for Heroes and see my grandparents at the finish line. The route I am taking will be roughly 150 miles. I am doing it with my dad and hoping to complete it within a week.
Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. Fundraising helps them recover and get on with their lives. So far Help For Heroes have supported more than 25,000 people and won’t stop until every veteran gets the support they deserve.
Thank You
Arthur Mortimer
