We educate families & health professionals to prevent devastating infections in babies

Story

Hi my name is Arlo, i was born at just 28 weeks gestation, and have spent most of my tiny life in hospital. i spent 7 weeks in the Trevor man baby unit, i was then allowed to go home but unfortunately i was rushed back to hospital as i stopped breathing after having an aspiration which resulting my daddy giving me cpr, after some tests it was discoverd i had a severve reflux problem, causing me to have to have apnea and bradycardia so i had a ph study in a 24 hour period i suffered 88 episodes the longest lasting 48 minuites , so they decided to stop all oral feeds  requiring an NG tube to be passed, this didn't work for me and was still very poorly. The Dr's and Nurses decided it would be best for me to have an NJ tube that by passes my stomach and straight down to my intestine this made a lot of difference to my apnea and bradycardia. After six weeks of being in the children's hospital i was again allowed to come home, unfortunately this was short lived and was rushed back to the children's hospital where i was fighting for my life as my body started to shut down, a couple of days passed by and it was revealed step b, they later did a lumber puncher where it was discovered that i had menigitis as well. Today it was also discovered i have a very low immune system.

I wish to get better really soon so i can get home to my mummy, daddy, twin brother and my other siblings.
