ARI Critical Care Lockdown Expedition , 1 March 2021
We provide practical help, advice & support to those living in poverty in Aberdeen

Story

During the first lockdown Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s ICU received many donations from local businesses. As we move into a second lockdown, it gives us a great opportunity to give something back to local people.

In the month of February the Aberdeen Critical Care Unit have set the challenge to walk, run or cycle the distance from Aberdeen to the North Pole. A huge 3,654km!!

We are doing this in the hope to raise money for a local Aberdeen charity - Instant Neighbour. Instant Neighbour campaigns for change to put an end to poverty. They do this by providing
  • Emergency food parcels to individuals who require urgent assistance via their food bank
  • Parents with access to nappies, baby food, and affordable and safe babycare and childcare equipment
  • Gifts at Christmas to children who would otherwise go without
We would be so appreciative of any sponsorship or donations to this amazing charity!
