Story

Can you join me in supporting St Luke's Hospice at a time when our funding was never more needed - charity shops are closed and all fundraising activities halted. Yet our team are there 'on the frontline' supporting 450 patients affected by terminal illness in their own homes, and in care homes, across Sheffield. We are at full capacity in our In Patient Centre with 20 patients receiving dedicated specialist care 24 hours a day.  To show that I am here and alongside them -

  • I will try to run 2.6km in 26 mins and, when I am breathless, will think of those  breathless due to C-19 and keep trying to run and fight for them and for those we are caring for at the end of their life
  • Will make 26 sultana scones for my beautiful 91 year old diabetic step-Mum in a Retirement Village nearby.  She has lost her appetite but loves scones and will eat one anytime!
  • I'm going to ring 26 family and friends in the next 2.6 days that I haven't yet called in lockdown to see how they are doing
  • I will raise 2.6 glasses of fizz (carefully measured in a small glass!!) this evening to all my wonderful St Luke's Hospice Sheffield colleagues who are working so hard to support Sheffield families at this most challenging of times.
  • Please, if you can, think of your own 2.6 challenge and join me or, if easier make a donation here.
  • Thank you all so much for taking the time to look at my very first Just Giving page!   With love Anne Neill
