Cycle to transform the lives of disabled children and adults through sport by supporting WheelPower, the national charity for Wheelchair Sport

Story

This is outside my comfort zone!

Not because I get my free bus pass this year, not because  Elizabeth, my Dawes Realmrider bike is 62 years old and not because this is nearly 50 miles.

It’s because I’m genuinely nervous about asking people to sponsor me. So help me out, respond positively and help to create sporting opportunities for  people with disabilities.

WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport have been providing opportunities for people with physical impairments to take part in sport for over 70 years. Based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the home of the Paralympic movement, WheelPower is at the heart of wheelchair sport.

With your support WheelPower will be able to deliver more life changing opportunities for people with disabilities, introducing them to the joys of playing sport, and the many benefits that come from a more active lifestyle.

2022 saw the return of their flagship events, The National Junior Games and the Inter Spinal Unit Games. It also saw the launch of their Sports Festivals that take place across the country and with your support WheelPower can create more opportunities, and reach even more people.

Thank You.
