London to Paris 2017 · 19 July 2017 to 22 July 2017 ·

We provide emotional and practical support to families with a seriously ill child.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July 2017 my friend Iain and I will mount our trusty bicycles and set off on a 300 mile trip from London to Paris.

We are doing so, in part as a celebration of our impending 40th's, but also to do something good and raise some money for an amazing charity. Those of you that know us, will know about Iris.

For those that do not, Iris was our first daughter. Diagnosed with a very rare infant cancer, she underwent surgery and chemo, for us to lose her in October 2010.

We were supported throughout by the wonderful staff at GOSH, as well as The Rainbow Trust, and it is the latter i am fundraising for. Practical and helpful they enabled us to navigate hard times easily, and were an always welcome guest in our home .

How donations will help Rainbow Trust to support more families:

·         £24 provides an hour’s vital support to a family with a terminally ill child, giving them quality time together

·         £154 transports the whole family to and from a hospital appointment in a Rainbow Trust vehicle

·         £1650 supports a family with a terminally ill child for a whole year.
