Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Many of you know that I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 2014. It was a huge shock which knocked me sideways. I stopped running marathons!
Although I'm still having check-ups I count myself as a cancer survivor and now want to run one more marathon to show that cancer should not stop us doing the things we love. Also, as I turned 60 last year, I want to prove that age is not a barrier either! (Although I've definitely slowed down in the last couple of years!!)
Anyone can succumb to cancer. For those who do, Macmillan can be a lifeline for them as well as their families. Fundraising is hugely important to the charity. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
