Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with Parkinsons 3 years ago and take daily medication. In the early years of the disease the medication is quite effective in masking or hiding the symptoms.
The dosage is gradually increased as the disease progresses although as time goes by the medication becomes less effective.
There is no cure and no one can tell you what causes the disease or how quickly and how far you will deteriorate towards not being able to look after yourself.
Exercise is recommended to try and delay the stiffening and possible seizure of the limbs and hence my decision to get on my bike. The challenge is to have a go at the Dunwich Dynamo which is a 200km overnight ride from London to Dunwich in July.
Please will you also consider sponsoring the challenge of 2014. I will be supported on the ride by my son Ed and good friend Phil.
Barclays my former employer have agreed to match £for £ anything raised up to £750.
