West Herts Hospitals Charity supports patient care across Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans hospitals. Donations help fund equipment, environmental enhancements, staff training, and the extra patient comforts that make such a difference, every day. Thank you

Story

On 16 February we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Theo into the World. Every day is special with Theo, he is more smiley and more chatty every day, and, luckily for him, he looks more like his mum with every day that passes.

It has not always been an easy ride, when Theo first arrive some 8 weeks early he weighed just 2lbs 14, just over half the weight of a bag of sugar. We were incredibly lucky to have the SCBU and Neonatal teams at Watford hospital who for most of his early weeks gave Theo 1 on 1 care 24 hours a day.

In what was a very scary situation, the teams in SCBU and Neonatal provided unbelievable support and made us all feel safe. They looked after our baby boy and made sure he came home strong. I can never thank the staff enough for everything they did for us.

On 17 September I'm hoping to complete the Swim Serpentine and then on 2 October to complete the London Marathon to raise funds for the unit. Any donation would be hugely appreciated and would make a big difference!

Raise is here to support patient care across Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City hospitals. Every patient deserves the highest quality care and your donations help fund the latest technology, environmental enhancements, staff development and extra comforts that make such a difference to patients, day after day, above and beyond what the NHS can afford alone. Supporters like you can help ensure that the care provided continues to be of the highest level and that patients and their families will benefit for years to come.
