Story
Yesterday, 04/11/16, I had a procedure called a LLETZ on my cervix. This was to remove pre-cancerous cells. In September I had my routine smear where luckily the abnormal cells were identified. They performed a biopsy during a colposcopy in October which showed that I required the LLETZ. I cannot stress enough to all you ladies how important it is that you attend your smear tests, they are extremely worth it.
To raise awareness and funds I have decided to do an ultimate challenge for a well deserved and wonderful charity called Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust who I have already used for much needed advice and reassurance.
On the 9th of April 2017 I will be running Brighton marathon 🏃🏻♀️, my place has been confirmed and our hotel is booked.
I would appreciate your support in this challenge, I can't start training for a week or so as my wound needs to heal, but then I'll be kitting up and pounding the streets yet again.
Please share this post....the more women that get a reminder about the smear test the better. Thank you for reading this.
