Fundraising for Raleigh International Trust
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with Raleigh International on an International Citizen Service placement. I will be travelling to Tanzania to help the local community in the development of their local amenities. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development. I believe not only will this help the people of the local community but it will also help me develop myself in a personal and professional capacity to gain experience in the volunteering sector as this is something I feel very strongly about.
The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £800 towards the work of Raleigh International and their ICS partners. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.
Amongst other things, I’ll be baking, running, cycling, bag packing and carrying out many other activities, you can keep track of how I get on here on my Justgiving page.
