For the first time St Matthew's Primary School will be hosting our very own Staff 5K Fun Run! For lots of us this is a reason to get off the sofa and start getting more active.

We have started a Couch to 5K running club on a Monday night that will lead up to the event on Tuesday 13th December that will take place in front of the children and their families! Those of us involved in the Couch to 5K programme will take part in 27 running sessions over 9 weeks in preparation for the fun run.

For some of our staff they are choosing to train on their own or with friends in their own time, however everyone is choosing to get fit!

We have chosen to raise funds for Cancer Research, it is a charity that is close to our hearts and has and still is supporting members of our staff, children's families and our local community.  

Any donation you make is greatly appreciated, whether you want to sponsor an individual £10 for taking part or 50p for each of their 27 training session in the Couch to 5k it will all be going towards Cancer Research.

lots of the children and their families will all be at the park cheering us on during the event on the 13th December and they will be doing their bit to raise money for the event along the way as well!
