Sands the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity is divided into a nationwide network of local support groups run by bereaved parents to support anyone affected by the death of a baby in their area.  This page is to raise funds specifically for South East London Sands.  We primarily support those who have lost babies at St. Thomas's, King's College, PRUH and Lewisham hospitals and/or live within south east London.

The impact of a baby's death is underestimated by anyone who has never experienced it.  For this reason our aim is to offer the empathic support that most bereaved parents find invaluable.   We provide one-to-one and group support at all stages of the grieving process, memory boxes for recently bereaved families and training for professionals to ensure high quality bereavement care within our area.

The work of the group is totally self funded and carried out by volunteers.  We are always grateful for donations which are used to fund our work and we thank you for considering our charity worthy of your donation.
