Story
Here at Minehead CC we are embarking on the centurion challenge on behalf of Mind Somerset. Mind is a charity close to our hearts down at Minehead and one we have had a lot of involvement with over the years. Mental health is even more important during these tricky times and it is a timely reminder to check up on friends and family.
We are inviting all members of the club to get involved with this, whether you're a player, committee member, supporter, parent, family member of a player, past player or even just want to help with fundraising for this great charity.
So what is the Centurion challenge? Well, you can adopt the centurion (100km) or the half centurion (50km). Once you've chosen which one you'd like to do you then you need to figure out how you're going to do those kilometres. A few suggestions would be Walking, Running, Cycling, Rowing, Swimming and maybe even walk the dog 50 times. Once you've figured out how you're going to complete it, you then have the month of March to get the km's in. We will be posting weekly updates on our Facebook page with the addition of some pictures from peoples adventures.
You are more than welcome to take on the challenge as a household and share out the distance or on your own. It is entirely up to you. Could I ask that if you are going to take on the challenge could you please make a donation (possibly 10% of your km's). As a club it would be amazing if we could get somewhere around our target of £1000 by the end of March, but even more would be amazing!
