I’ve signed up for the Lake District Ultra Challenge on 8/9 June 2024!  100km continuous walk including 2,500m of ascent through southern lakeland, starting/finishing at base camp in Kendal.  Just a walk in the park 😆 raising money for motor neurone disease #TeamMND

I’ve been a medical secretary in the NHS for many years, working for a consultant neurologist with a special interest in MND and who, along with his colleagues and a dedicated team of nurses and therapists, worked tirelessly to set up the Eastern Regional MND Network. 

Through them I have met the most wonderful and inspirational patients, their families and carers, who have faced this condition with strength and determination - and now it’s time I gave something back!

I’m a hill walker with a love of the lakes and this challenge will push me just that bit further - and all for a good cause!
