Story
I am raising money for SENSE charity because compared to the challenges people who are deafblind or have complex needs have to overcome every day, running a marathon is easy-ish. I am not a natural distance runner, I am built more for sitting than running! The goal when I set out to learn to run was to lose weight, get healthier, run london marathon and raise some money for charity. What I didn't expect was to enjoy running as much as I do my picture above is a typical example of my running 'game face'. I've lost weight not a lot the scales tell me but I'm more than happy as I'm definitely in better shape and fitter for it. All that's left to do from the goal I set myself is for me to run London Marathon and hopefully with a little help from anyone who is able to, I can raise some money for charity. The training means long hours, early morning runs to get the miles in and some tough training sessions. However, it's temporary and worth it to do something that could bring a permanent life changing opportunity to someone who is deafblind or has complex needs.
