Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am 19 years old & have Cerebral Palsy following a stroke before I was born. This has left me with a weakness to my right arm & leg, mobility problems, epilepsy, learning disabilities & severe visual impairment.

I am on the waiting list for a guide dog and currently use a long cane to help me get around. Having a guide dog will help me become more independent.

It was my idea to take part in the Great North Run this year & to raise money for Guide Dogs. My dad said he would run with me as my guide as I will need assistance. We are also taking part in the Great North 10K as part of our training.

It would mean the world to me if you could help me achieve my target.

Thank You

Luke (and Jon)

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
