Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Georgie and Effie have decided to cartwheel along the beaches on the Orkney mainland (20+beaches) to raise money for Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. They have chosen this charity because Georgie has been on two sailing trips with the trust after completing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia .

At 4 years old, Georgie was diagnosed with leukaemia and spent 2 and a half years in and out of hospital for treatment!

In 2015 she was invited to go on a 4 day sailing trip with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and loved every minute of it! The trust gives children the opportunity to learn new skills, meet other children who have had the same awful experiences but most of all to have tonnes of fun!

Georgie and Effie are both really excited to Get started in April  and can't wait to keep you all updated with photos of their cartwheeling challenge!

Thanks you for your support!

About the charity

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.
