******* UPDATE*****
The second sanctuary in Northern Vietnam is now nearly finished & the first two bears who the charity have named Buzz & Armstrong were rescued last week from over twenty years in crush cages on a bile farm ...... twenty years ! They have had more love & kindness shown to them in the last week than all their years and are now in quarantine ahead of feeling the grass under their paws for the first time in about a month . There are still around 250 bears that still need rescuing so your support now has never been more important. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and from those with no voice xx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.As most of you know I love trekking for charity in some pretty remote places, from the Jordanian desert to my favourite place on Earth, the mighty Himalaya. I'm returning to Nepal in October to trek again in the Annapurna range of the Himalaya with my trekking buddy & partner in shenanigans @trekkingtracy. I'm supporting Animals Asia who I've supported in a small way every Christmas by buying gifts for the bears instead of cards. They do the most extraordinary work in Asia with bear sanctuaries in China & Vietnam with a simple vision, to end cruelty and restore respect for all animals throughout Asia. Their mission is to end the farming of bears for bile in Vietnam & China, provide sanctuary for bears, end suffering of wild animals in captivity and ensure humane treatment of dogs & cats.
