Those of you who know me well will appreciate that a) I don't really like running and b) I'm not very good at it....and so the obvious thing to do was to sign up to the London Marathon!! 

After watching the marathon in London last year and enjoying the incredible atmosphere and being inspired by the people running, I decided I had to do it myself.

When choosing a charity to run for it was pretty simple. Blind Veterans UK has helped my family for many years and what they do is pretty special. My Grandpa was blinded in the war and Blind Veterans UK trained him to be a physiotherapist. This gave him his independence back - he became District Physiotherapist and designed his own physiotherapist department in Barnsley General Hospital. My Grandpa was a special man.

Blind Veterans UK continued to look after my Grandpa over the rest of his life, and continues to look after my Granny today. And so I want to raise money to say thank you for everything they have done. 

Any donation, no matter how small, will help me reach my target and will help to support this great charity. Thank you!
