I love the idea of charity such as Women Vs Cancer that's aim is to put an end to Women's cancer and get more women on their bikes. I did not however expect a flick through a magazine and brief read about the Thailand Challenge would result in my friend and I being signed up by the end of the day!!

Sponsorship for this event will go between three women's' charities supporting those affected, funding research and developing treatments and cures.

To differing degrees cancer sadly is all around us with everyone's story and fight being different, as is many an outcome. Personal reasons along with the loss of family and friends to cancer makes this cause close to my heart. The planning and training have begun and amongst the busyness of what lies ahead over the coming year I will remember why this is one challenge I am happy to take on, all 416km of it.

I have never attempted something of this magnitude, the fundraising alone will be challenging enough!! I'm sure with support from those connected in some way to Jenny and I we will achieve our target, maybe even surpass it.
