Way back in July 2019 we got this message from our Lynne...
Hi Ladies, I found lumps in my left breast the other week, so yesterday I had it confirmed I have breast cancer in one of the lumps and not sure about the other yet as got to have another Biopsy on Thursday again on that one, when the results of that one come back and we know what we’re dealing with then they’ll decide what the best action is , but until then I will be doing everything as normal and keeping up with my routine as best I can.
Almost 2 years on now. Lynne is fixed and fitter than ever. The world is coming through the other side of the Covid-19 pandemic. It's crazy how things happen. So Tracey and Jude decided we should do something BIG to mark the end of lockdown and something we could fundraiser for. Something local and something that meant something to us all. All of our group has been touch be cancer either directly or indirectly. The other important thing was the reward! Those who know us know that if there's no Bling, Tee- shirt or cake, we can't commit!
On 3rd October the 4 of us will be taking on this years virtual London Marathon. we will walk/run/shuffle/crawl- if needed a 26.2 mile loop of our local area to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research. We know it's been one hell of a year and one of the impacts of the pandemic has been less money for cancer charities- meaning less resources to tackle an all consuming disease- Cancer. So if you can spare us all a shiny pound and in return we will smash this x
