Story
Well who knows how it happened but happen it has, I have been
given the great honour by my son and daughter in the latter part of 2021 to become a Grandad to two beautiful, funny and very healthy granddaughters, Aria coming first closely followed ten weeks later by Indie Savannah, as if to add insult to injury though just last week I
turned sixty!!!!!!!!!!!!???????? how come? so, this year we have decided that the now old man should slow the pace of things down a bit. To this end this year's fundraising challenge on behalf of our two wonderful nominated not for profit charities my spiritual home Leuchie House National Respite Centre and the amazing Walk with Scott Foundation.
On the 12th of May I will be taking on a white-water rafting expedition, down the deepest darkest reaches of the river Tay, those of you who know me and know of my MS already know that both my wife and I refuse to let this condition hold us back, and we will continue as long as we are physically able to do our own little bit to help these wonderful charities that work both nationally and
locally within their communities to help others less fortunate than ourselves.
Leuchie House
At Leuchie we are dedicated to supporting people living with the long-term effects of conditions such as MS, MND, Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions through individualised respite breaks, and by providing an essential break for carers. With our specialist team, our enabling approach, our stunning location in the East Lothian countryside and our beautiful house, for short breaks with 24 hour care, Leuchie House really is one of a kind.
