Story
The RNLI has been busier than ever since the start of lockdown. Volunteer lifeboat crews have been rescuing people throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and they remain committed to saving lives at sea. Unfortunately our ability to raise funds for our lifesaving charity has been limited.
We are the Hoylake & West Kirby RNLI Fundraising Branch and we rely on donations from the public to keep the RNLI's 24/7 search and rescue service running. However, we have not been able to fundraise as normal and have had to cancel many bucket collections and fundraising events including our annual Lifeboat Open Day to keep our volunteers and supporters safe.
This means our income is falling fast . The average lifeboat in the North west costs £136,000 a year to run and we are seeing a significant fall in income. We are asking all of our supporters and communities to donate what they can to keep our lifesaving service running.
Whether big or small, your donation will help RNLI volunteers to help save lives at sea. All along the North west coast from Silloth to West Kirby, we will always be there to keep you and your loved ones safe and end preventable loss of lives at sea. Please help us fulfil that mission.
