It’s that time of year again when I start looking for something pink to wear and I contact you to beg for money for Cancer Research UK.

Yes, it’s the annual Pink Ladies’ Tractor Road Run time again! This
year it’s on Sunday 3 July and I’m hoping that one item of pink clothing will not be needed this time – the pink rain poncho. 
It was severely tested last year and found wanting in the torrential rain throughout the first half of the run. So, I’m ordering sunshine for 2016!

I was lucky enough to visit Cancer Research UK in Cambridge last
year to see how they use the money raised by the Pink Ladies (&
others).  I saw some eye wateringly expensive equipment and met some amazingly clever, mostly young, people who explained their research.  That more money needs to be raised constantly was obvious so…..

…… I’m hoping with your generosity to match my last year’s contribution of over £600 which will go towards the total raised by the Pink Ladies in over 14 years to ½ million pounds.
