Story
Anyone who knows me, knows I love a mad challenge and I love the outdoors! With all sporting events, running races and travel on hold for the foreseeable future, it's important to stay active if you can at home and in line with Government guidelines - so let's focus on what we CAN do to support our health, not what we can't do.
We are living in testing and uncertain times, but we are just being asked to stay at home, whilst many of our friends and family members are going to work each day as key workers in the NHS, selflessly devoted to saving the lives of others and helping to stop the spread and fight this virus, whilst they are separated from their loved ones. I'm immensely proud of our NHS and I'm inspired by so many wonderful people who are doing their bit to help us in this crisis.
I wanted to do my bit to help support the fight against COVID-19, so I thought I could combine my love for a mad challenge, my love for the NHS and show how we can stay active at home... plus I've always wanted to climb Ben Nevis!
I am going to be climbing 1,345m on my stairs on Friday 10th April at 10am and I hope to raise £1,345 for the NHS Charities Together - Urgent COVID Appeal (£1 for every metre).
Using a tape measure, I have worked out that this will equate to climbing my stairs at home a whopping 439 times!!!
On 'Good Friday', please join me in showing our support for the NHS and help to do our bit to manage this crisis.
Stay Home, Stay Safe, Save Lives.
