Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
First of all a big big thank you to LOLA for lending me her bike and supporting me. Also thanks to LIsa and Heather for their help.
Those of you that know me, know I have over the last 4 years set myself some physical endurance challenges. This year it is the London Olympics Anniversary 100 mile cycle ride, otherwise known as the “RideLondon-Surrey 100”, and what a way to mark my 65th year. As usual I make my challenge more worthwhile by raising money for a good cause.
This year the good cause is TOMMY’S, inspired by a sad event that happened to a good friend. Late last year the daughter of this friend unfortunately had a miscarriage. Seeing the devastating affect it had on both of them and their families, I wanted to try and help in some small way. They suggested I raise money for a charity called TOMMY’S which help save babies lives. They also do invaluable work supporting families that have unfortunately suffered a miscarriage or stillbirth. In addition to this, they undertake crucial research to prevent miscarriages or stillbirths.
Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, would be really, really appreciated.
Many thanks. Gary
