On November the 28th @ 10:00, Sally and Frances are going to have their heads shaved. And why exactly are we doing this? To raise money for the Severn Hospice. Why the Hospice? One of our colleagues, Caroline found out that she had breast cancer recently and once we'd got over the shock, and we said all the usual things: 'we'll be there for whatever and whenever you need us,' you know all the usual things that you say at this time. But thinking about it, Sally and I decided that 'words are cheap' - easy to say but not necessarily easy to follow through with the support. So knowing that Caroline would lose her hair during the treatment, we decided that we'd have our heads shaved as a gesture of support and also to raise money for the charity of Caroline's choice which was Severn Hospice.
So on the 28th of November, spare a thought for us as we nervously submit to the hair clippers, but happy in the knowledge that we're going to raise a lot of money for a fantastic charity. However, this only works if you donate some money - you can give online right now or else ask to sign our sponsorship forms.
Remember we're doing the hard bit - we just have to have our heads shaven and then walk around at the coldest time of the year with bare heads - you're doing the easy bit, you just have to support us, and more importantly the Hospice by donating money. So please dig deep and donate now (donations can also be made in cash, we have sponsor sheets).
