Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people with stomas and to their families, carers, and friends. Colostomy UK also campaigns and acts as advocates for ostomates on the many issues they face going about their daily lives. We want hidden conditions to be understood and accepted by all. Our vision is of communities in which everyone is empowered to reach their potential.

This charity is something close to my heart and I'm currently planning and taking part in a fundraiser with 50 other wonderful people who will be joining me in filling a colostomy bag with cold porridge and wearing it for the day. This will give us a small glimpse into the feelings of those who have to deal with ostomies for the rest of their lives.  I understand the activity may not be something everyone is comfortable doing and in this case, any donations would be really appreciated and really make a difference to those who need the support Colostomy UK  can offer.
