In 2012 it started to become clear that my daughter Evie was unwell. She was eventually diagnosed with a rare condition named Ehlers Danlos Syndrome affecting about 1 in every 5000 of the population. There is no cure and management of the condition varies from case to case.

The condition affects the collagen in the body (the glue that holds us together)making joints hypermobile and can affect organs and vessels in different ways. In 2016 Evie spent some 5 months in hospital after her digestive system stopped working.

EDS UK have provided us with significant support, information and assisted us in getting Evie to the best medical professionals specialising in EDS.

It's my turn to repay EDS UK by cycling from London to Paris between 19th and 22nd July 2017 - 350 miles!
