Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On August 24th to 28th I am going on an epic cycling journey around Scotland with the aim of raising money for Bowel Cancer UK. Last year we lost my mum Anne and my brother-in-law James to cancer. The inspiration I take from these two remarkable people will carry me around 555 miles of Scottish roads, and hopefully in turn encourage others to pledge a little bit to help all those affected by this disease. My route will see me string together places of personal significance to me and my mum, which I hope people will appreciate and perhaps even also share a fond memory of.

I know the idea of me riding my bike is about as un-original
as can be, but averaging 111 miles a day for 5 days on my own will be incredibly tough (it's not very flat either!) and I hope you consider it a big enough challenge to merit some sponsorship!
Bowel Cancer UK do fantastic work supporting those affected by bowel cancer, raising awareness to increase early diagnosis and helping accelerate research to improve treatment.
Thank you so much,
David.
