Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those that know me well know I like a drink or two or three. Last year I gave up alcohol for 125 days. This year I'm going the full hog...365 days on the wagon. No booze at all. Plus I'll ride 5480 miles through the year. I managed just over 4000 miles this year so another 1480 seemed the sensible way forward. 

5480 miles is also the distance by road from Warwick to Aleppo in Syria and back again( give or take a bit....)

Update....5480 target hit in September....so I'm aiming for 7000 now!

Why am I doing this?

The media has shown us some shocking images of the terrors many people face around the world on a daily basis; images and scenes from Aleppo in the past few months are truly beyond comprehension. Many people around the world have nothing; no where to live and little or no hope for the future. 

If I can give up a 'luxury' for a year and help raise a small amount of money to help those in absolute need...then I will. I'll also be a little bit healthier myself!
