Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. 

I am a community staff nurse and having noticed that many of my patients have Alzheimer’s disease. It really enlightened me as to how this terrible disease effects them personally and also their family life. Coronavirus has changed everything for people affected by dementia. Many people have experienced a deterioration in their symptoms and an increased loneliness resulting in even more pressure on carers and family. I felt that I wanted to do something to support them and I couldn’t think of anything better to do than jumping out of a perfectly good plane!
