Story
Bob sadly passed away peacefully at home on 12th April 2022. He lived with epilepsy throughout his life and always chose to lead an active life with great determination, always insisting he would not submit to the constraints arising from his medical conditions.
He was a great rugby player and an inspiration to those in the rugby community who knew him. He represented Bristol and its combination teams in the 1970s, also playing both for Aretians RFC and St. Marys RFC until retirement in his mid-forties.
Bob worked in BAE's commercial aircraft division from 1974 until 2002, when sadly he had to retire on medical grounds due to his disability. He loved his family and always tried to look after friends and loved ones as best as he was able.
It's true to say that Bob was always indifferent when it came to flowers. He would much prefer that donations could be made to the Epilepsy Society, a registered UK charity, instead of flowers for his funeral. All donations will be sincerely appreciated, and hopefully will help to ease the suffering of others from epilepsy in future years.
Rest in peace Bob.
With Kind Regards,
Harry Gosling
