There is an ever-expanding demand on emergency services across the country. As a result our hospital has been awarded a £20m improvement grant to radically redesign our emergency department and resus area.This is a great chance to get involved at this early stage to ensure we make the improvements and changes that will make a difference.

I have decided that as all my 60th birthday plans have been cancelled or postponed then I want to celebrate in a different way. I am therefore aiming to walk 60 miles (around my home and locality of course) between April 17th and Many 24th. My birthday is May 26th so that gives me a good day of rest after I finish.This may not seem far to you but with my balance issues which lead to daily fatigue this will be a challenge for me.
