Story

The Old Spot Inn Dursley Gloucestershire has chosen the Great Western Air Ambulance as its charity for 2018/9. A number of events will take place (and £260 already has already raised). The main focus will be supporting Andrew Eades, the brother of Jo who runs the pub, in sponsorship for the 2019 Newport Wales Marathon and the equally unbelievable Cotswold Way 100 k challenge. Bath to Cheltenham in 24 hours!!! But you can also use this page to make general donations for the charity. The Air Ambulance provides critical care in the air, delivering highly specialised medical support not available in normal ambulances and gets to patients quickly and back to hospital quickly. Most of those in need have suffered in road traffics collisions or cardiac events. The charity receives no Government funding whatsoever. Please help us.

About the charity

We provide air ambulance and critical care across Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. On average we attend 5 incidents every day. As a charity we need to raise £4m each year to keep flying. Your Charity, Saving Lives together
