Act of Witness · 18 December 2014

Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

Wednesday 10 December 2025 at 6.30 pm at St Anne's Church, 55 Dean Street, London WC1D 6AF

Human rights are under threat in our country and all over the world. People are unjustly imprisoned. People like Josen Riben, an editor in Guatemala, Nimet Tanrikulu, a human rights defender in Turkey, and Gui Minhai, a bookseller in Hong Kong.

On 10 December, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Mayfair and Soho Amnesty Group will be joined by other Amnesty groups in London to remember by name these three people and over 200 others for whom Amnesty International has worked.

Please sponsor us generously for the number of names we read, so that Amnesty can continue its vital campaigns to ensure that the UDHR becomes a reality.

You are welcome to join us at St Anne's Soho.
